PropertyGuys.com Franchise Owners are Recognized at Company’s Annual Awards Gala

February 28, 2007 – PropertyGuys.com, Canada’s largest and most respected private sale network, dedicated an evening to recognizing top franchise owners at its annual Awards Gala held February 9th in Moncton, NB. The Awards Gala closed the company’s annual conference. This year’s conference theme was “Our Future is Now”.

Franchise owners were judged according to their accomplishments over the past year in relation to PropertyGuys.com culture, goals and objectives. “Awards play an important role in raising our service standards,” commented Ken LeBlanc, founder, President and CEO of PropertyGuys.com Inc. “The franchise owners we recognize have made huge contributions to their individual businesses and to their respective communities. They help set the benchmark for our entire organization,” adds LeBlanc.

The evening’s top prize was the prestigious “Franchisee of the Year” award. This year’s honor went to Kenny and Tracey Singleton of Charlottetown, PEI, who beat out 80 other franchise owners nationwide to capture the title. The PEI franchise was recognized for excellence in customer service, an exceptional year in listing volume and a dedicated focus towards giving back to their community. “Kenny and Tracey demonstrate the entrepreneurial passion and spirit we recognize as essential to success in our system,” said LeBlanc, “Our PEI team has a growth-oriented attitude needed to take their business to the next level. Because of their hard work, commitment and outstanding results, I can’t think of a more appropriate franchise to win this award.”

Area listing awards went to those franchise owners achieving the most listings per dwelling count during the year within their respective region. The regional top listing award winners are as follows: Western – James King and Yolanda Blokland, Williams Lake BC, Central – Dave Waters, Guelph ON, Atlantic – Mike White and Anne MacDonald, Kentville NS.

The ”Model Office Award” recognizes the franchise location that demonstrates expertise in operations, systems and processes. This year’s award went to Dave & Lisa Viik of Prince George BC. The “New Franchise Office Award” went to the franchise owner in business less than a one year who best demonstrated an ability to grow a successful franchise. The award went to Debbie Allen of Amherst NS. The company’s “Homey Award” recognizes the best marketing concept and was awarded to Mike Hannay of Fredericton NB. Chris Reed, of the William’s Lake Franchise was awarded this year’s “Top Sales Associate Award”. Finally, Mike Shanks of Cambridge, ON won the most creative promotional idea for the company’s new book and seminar series, “The Wealthy Home Seller”.

Another important award that reflects these quality service elements is the President’s Club. This year’s President Club inductees are Mike Hannay of Fredericton NB, Norm Hanley and Vanessa Kalawarny of Powell River, BC, Brian and Deena Viik of Salmon Arm, BC, Terry Ouellette of Bathurst, NB and Mike White and Anne MacDonald of Kentville, NS.
