Brockville, ON – Ready or not, here we come.

Brockville, ON – Ready or not, here we come. The future of real estate arrives just in time. (FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE) Moncton NB, June 6, 2007 – Whether it be the travel industry, the traditional stock brokerage, traditional media or the insurance business – it is quite clear that the Internet has helped bring pivotal change to the inner-workings of every major industry it’s ever touched. These days some organizations and business people are betting large that the internet savvy consumer will help fuel major change in the way real estate is bought and sold. With over 80% of all home shoppers these days turning on-line to search for their next home, Ben Quenneville and Jessica Pelt have made the entrepreneurial leap to bring a new internet real estate franchise that will soon begin to change things for many home sellers in and around the Leeds Grenville area.

What’s so special about this new business you may ask? Well, for one, their concept challenges the very foundation of the traditional brokerage – that is real estate commission. That’s right, in the days where the likes of FaceBook, You Tube and i-tunes are redefining everything we thought we knew – many home sellers are now choosing a different way. It’s not surprising that tens of thousands of savvy sellers form all across Canada are already by-passing agent commissions – in Brockville alone this could translate into users saving up to 20 Million dollars in commission over the next five years. The company estimates that one in four Canadians are now selling commission free. A recent launch of their own new book entitled – The Wealthy Home Seller – is quickly on pace to become a Canadian Best Seller. The book explores the private sale process from the eyes of two neighbors who debunk the many myths instilled upon the public by traditional brokerages.

“We’re excited to have passionate people such as Ben & Jessica involved in our system – it’s amazing to see how folks like them get so fired up to save people money,” says Ken LeBlanc, company founder and President. LeBlanc started the PropertyGuys.com venture with a little less than $100 from a one bedroom apartment nearly 10 years ago while still at University. His company now offers its service to over 550 communities across Canada – and its website receives over 45 Million hits a month from cyber home shoppers. “We wanted to be well positioned to take advantage of the change already underway in real estate”, says Ben Quenneville when asked about why they chose a private sale franchise. In fact, Ben had even once pondered becoming a real estate agent but after looking into possible alternatives, the couple chose to become PropertyGuys.com franchise owners. “Our choice was actually quite simple,” he explained. “We decided that we’d be far better off buying into the future of real estate instead of buying into yesterday’s news”.

Neither of them had a background in real estate – but that didn’t stop them since the company doesn’t sell real estate – rather they help home owner’s do-it themselves. “We believe that the market is on the cusp of irretraceable change,” Quenneville added. PropertyGuys.com estimates that half of all those selling their homes will choose to do it without an agent before the year 2011. Ben & Jessica have already had lots of success in the Northern Leads and Grenville territory – building up steam to enter the heart of the mighty St-Laurence market.
